Care Home Visits

Julian tests the eyes of patients in a variety of care homes, nursing homes and even at a youth detention centre. He has relationships with a wide variety of places where visits are necessary, from care homes run by large companies such as Bupa, HC1 and Anchor, to privately-owned nursing homes.

Making eye tests easy

Julian and his team will take care of all of the administration involved with the eye tests. You simply send an occupancy list and the team will cross-reference it to identify any new patients and those who are due their test.

Tests are provided free of charge on the NHS wherever possible. If glasses are needed Julian will help the patient choose them at the time of the test and will arrange delivery back to the relevant location as soon as they are ready.

In addition to his scheduled work, Julian will also respond to requests for urgent visits to care homes and other facilities.

“I was the owner of Brandon House, a thirty six bed nursing home in Leeds. I operated this business for sixteen years and throughout all that time Julian was the ophthalmic optician for all my patients.

“I always found him to be punctual, reliable and efficient, with the professional ability to deal with the elderly on an individual basis and treat each one with courtesy and an understanding of their needs.

“Since my retirement Mr Berson continues to cater for my 96 year old mother, as she is housebound this necessitates home visits. I consider myself to be uniquely qualified and experienced in what constitutes good practise in the overall care of the elderly. I have no hesitation in recommending him as a valued, trusted and efficient representative for all your requirements.”
